Montco Towns - DUI checkpoints number increase

Due to Labor Day, Montgomery County towns — including Abington,  Upper Dublin, Cheltenham and Jenkintown — will increase DUI checkpoints soon after acquiring federal funds, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
In the cooperation with all the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” initiative, 36 local police departments — and 600 statewide — will  "conduct roving patrols and checkpoints targeting motorists helped by the influence of drugs or alcohol," in keeping with a PennDOT press release.  Statewide enforcement shall be upped and PennDOT officials encourage individual municipalities to wave is border-to-border enforcement.
